The Savannah cat is the biggest of the cat varieties. A Savannah cat is a mix between a Domestic cat and a serval, a medium-sized that has large ears wild African cat. The uncommon cross became general among breeders at the end of the 1990s, and in 2001 The International Cat Association (TICA) established it as a new registered breed. In May 2012, TICA acknowledged it as a championship breed. F1 and F2 generations are frequently the largest, due to the stronger genetic impact of the African serval ancestor. The Guinness Book of World Records recently named Scarlett’s Magic, an F1 Savannah cat from Corona, California, as the world’s tallest domestic cat. The F1 Savannah California 18-month old cat stands 17.1 inches high (shoulder to toe). She's an F1 Savannah California Cat, a cross between an African Serval and a domesticated breed. It's the next thing to a wild cat you can own without violating any California laws.

Are it allowed to have F1 Savannah California?

The Savannah cat can be banned in some places because it is a wild cat hybrid. There is wild blood in this cat class. The father, grandfather and ancestors are a serval, a medium-sized wild cat species. Some US states believe wild cat hybrids to be similar to the wild cat themselves and all states require laws governing the possession of unusual wild cat species. They can be understood as dangerous. Or if they escape the home they can breed with wild cats creating unusual feral cats. That’s the horror from some authorities. In California, all generation hybrid cats like (F1 Savannah California) are legal. This rule is much improved than in states like New York, which only allow F5 and under. These restrictions are insincere under any reason, as 'regular' cats can and have attacked humans, have become a critical environmental threat (mainly because people untiringly push to stop controlling feral populations and stopping the free-roaming cat culture), and they have the same exact needs as so-called wild animals.

Are F1 Savannah California Cats Good Pets?

They are magnificent pets for active, adult owners that are happy to spend lots of time entertaining them and providing them with good markets for those natural behaviors. TheF1 Savannah California cat has an exotic, cheetah-like look with a spotted pattern coat that comes in a diversity of colors He can be up to twice the size of your usual home cat, but not huge – quite the opposite!  He is well-known for his long body and long legs, short thick tail, large tall ears situated right at the top of his head along with distinguishing hooded eyes revealing dark tear duct lines. 

The F1 Savannah California cat loves being around people and frequently described as being a dog in a cat’s body, greeting his owner at the front door then following them from room to room. They also love playing and swimming in water! In the wild, servals often hunt by grabbing fish out of the water, and it’s clear these instincts haven’t gone in the Savannah cat.

F1 Savannah California cats are very energetic and can leap 2.5 m high from a standing position. Wild-type behavior can be detected in early generation or non-socialized savannah cats. For example, they might hiss and growl at strangers. They also make noises like to a serval, such as chirping and loud hissing.

Why F1 Savannah Cats is allowed in California?

In California, there are no restrictions on owning a Savannah cat. This includes those from earlier generations, which makes it a great place to be if you want to own a Savannah cat. However, if you do get an F1 – F4 Savannah cat, you must be alert that it is considered an exotic and falls under California law concerning exotic cats. Although a Savannah cat is legal in California, that doesn’t essentially mean you should go out and get one. Bengal cats are more energetic than most cat breeds, and require more attention, so they’re not for everyone. Before you get a Savannah cat, make sure that you have adequate space for them, and are prepared to spend plenty of your time interacting and playing with them. And of course you’ll have to make sure you’re ready to pay for vet bills, high-quality cat food, cat furniture, and lots of cat toys to please them.

For generations of Savannah cats that are considered exotics, there is a Californian law that strictly prohibits declawing them except when medically necessary for the health of the cat. This is good news for F1 Savannah, however, since most cats that are declawed undergo hugely throughout their lives. Declawing a cat involves amputating part of their paws which can cause a number of issues such as litter box aversion, aggression and fear-biting, and arthritis. If you have a Savannah cat (or any cat for that matter!), we recommend not declawing them as it can cause a number of problems for them. Instead, simply work with them to teach them not to use their claws against people and provide them with a high-quality scratching post that they can use to sharpen their claws on.

The Savannah cat is not spontaneously, by default illegal. It depends on the familial and the place. You should search the law and/or make studies where you are just in case there are restrictions governing the ownership of a Savannah cat especially the high filial types. Don’t just dive in and suppose they are authorized because you might be dissatisfied. 

F1 Savannah California cats are gorgeous, loyal pets that need a lot of work and attention. With that being exclaimed, they’re the perfect addition to any home. F1 savannah cats have the biggest percentage of wild African Serval in them, and are usually the most expensive kind of savannah cat. Male F1 kittens commonly range from about $12,000 to around $16,000. Female F1 kittens normally range from $15,000 to $20,000.
